HJ Embossing with Ribbon

This week’s challenge at Holly Jolly is hosted by me and I have chosen the theme challenge to be

Embossing with Ribbon.

The embossing can be dry embossing or heat set embossing and ribbon well we all have ribbon that we find in our stash.

So I would love to see you join us and get a start on your Christmas cards too!

For my card I have heat embossed my Christmas Tree image with clear embossing powder.  I first stamped in Island Indigo Ink and then quickly added the clear embossing powder.

You can see the how the image is darker with the embossing powder because the sentiment Season’s Greeting is just stamped in the Island Indigo ink.

The layout for my card was inspired by an older sketch at Sketchbook Saturday.  Love the Clean and Simple look of the design.

Here is my card:

Supplies:

Stamp set: Snow Swirled

Card: Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Island Indigo

Accessories:  Scallop Edge Border, Island Indigo Ribbon, Vanilla Ribbon (Non-SU), Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

I am hooked on the Island Indigo at the moment so my card is very non-traditional colours.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges:

Patties Creations Challenge – # 65 Make It Sparkle

Love to Scrap Challenge – # Cut It Out (Die and/or Punch)

QKR Stampede Challenge – # 35 Punches and/or Dies

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge – # 138 Trees

DRS Designs Challenge – # 66 Bows

Sweet Stampin Christmas Challenge – # 5 Use Kraft

Christmas Cards All Year Round Monthly Challenge – O’ Christmas Tree

Enjoy the rest of your week and take care….Meg
