CAGI Sketch

Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a great weekend.

We have a long weekend here in Sydney and the weather is warm and fresh.  Makes you very grateful for everything :)

At Come and Get It this week Cindy has a sketch for us and it is a great CAS sketch.

The colours I have used for the sketch were inspired by the photo inspiration at Loves Rubber Stamps.  They have a beautiful picture of this little girl dressed in a lacy dress, flower headband, pearls and pushing her pram in a field of grass.  You can just see a tip of yellow in the flowers in grass.

So I have used Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, touch of Basic Black and Daffodil Delight.

I have used a a sheet of one of the pages from the Festival of Prints DSP stack which is Lucky Limeade with Very Vanilla.

The sentiment I have used is from the Field Flowers stamp set and it just seemed perfect for the sketch and the photo.  Because I know that My Thoughts are Happiest when my little girl is in them.

The flowers I created using the Boho Blossoms punch and the leaves have been die cut using the Little Leaves die. Plus this card was perfect for some Pearls which I hardly use.

Here is my card:

Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone,

Middle of the week and I wanted to share with you a card that I have created for the Crafty Creations Design Team.

The theme for the challenge is Autumn Leaves and the challenge is sponsored by Digi Doodle.

I have used the sponsor’s image and the cardstock I have used is Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze.

The Cajun Craze cardstock has been embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder.

They say that practice makes perfect, well I am not sure that I will get to perfect but I am definitely practicing colouring in images.

I have used the aqua brush with the following inks to colour the image.  Always Artichoke on the leaves and reeds along the water.  The rocks are coloured in with Crumb Cake and the log, fishing stick and little boys hair are coloured in with Chocolate Chip (now retired).

There is a touch of Bashful Blue on the water and very lightly in the sky and bucket and hat have been coloured in with River Rock.

The little boys top is coloured in with Night of Navy and his pants Cajun Craze.

I have also cut out the little boy and the stick from a second image and layered it on top of the other to add a 3d effect.

Here is my card..

Christmas Tags

Hi how has your week been so far?  Mine not too bad.

We have a long weekend coming up here this weekend and so far the weather looks to be rather nice – so I cannot complain :)

Now it is time for a new challenge at Holly Jolly and the challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  The challenge is Tags.

I have added a tag to my card but you could create individual tags for your gifts at Christmas or maybe you want to add a tag to your card too.

I have used the lovely Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP from the Seasonal Catalogue and the base card is Lucky Limeade.

The tag has been cut out using the Two Tags Die and the cardstock is Real Red.  I have added a smaller piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Snow Swirled stamp set.  The sides have been inked with a sponge and some Real Red ink.

I have cut out the Sponsor’s image and coloured it in with Lucky Limeade and Real Red Ink and sponged a little Crumb Cake ink on the bells.

I don’t normally use a lot of Pearls but they seem to be right to add a little extra to the bells.

Here is my card

I have made a Slider Card or it maybe called a Penny Slider Card and created some cute little Owls with the Owl Builder Punch.

The little bows are created using the Swirls Scribbles Die cut which is retired and the papers are scraps of DSP I had.  The sentiment is from a retired Hostess stamp set called Picture This and it has been cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Holly Jolly Bingo

How is everyone?  Isn’t it funny that both the Come and Get It Challenge and the Holly Jolly Challenge both have Bingo this week!

So we hope that you are up for Bingo for a second time !

My choice for the Holly Jolly Challenge is Silver, Snow Flakes and Punches.

Now I have been so excited to purchase and use the new Snow Flurry Die in the Seasonal Catalogue so when I had Snow Flakes as an option there was not doubt that this had be used.

The punch that I used was the Ornament Punch and the Silver is two Star Brads.

The colour combo is Non-Traditional and inspired by the Colour Challenge at Stampin’ Royalty Challenge which is Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Pool Party.

I cut a piece of Vanilla Cardstock using the Top Note Die, stamped the En Francais in Crumb Cake and then sponged some Crumb Cake ink over the whole piece.

Added some more Snow Flakes from the Snow Swirled stamp set, these have been stamped in Soft Suede.

The Ornament is from the Tags Til Christmas stamp set and has been stamped in Pool Party ink.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set and has been die cut using the new Bitty Banners Framelits Die.

Here is my card:

Anyone for Bingo

Hi everyone, hope that you are well and that you have had a lovely weekend.

Another week has flown by and it is time for a new challenge at Come and Get It and this week we are playing Bingo.

I have chosen to use Die Cuts, Punches and Free Choice with my Free Choice being “Bling” or Rhinestones.

The layout of my card is from the CASE Study site and the colour combo is from The Play Date Cafe.

The colours that I have used are Not Quite Navy, Calypso Coral, Basic Grey with some Very Vanilla.

Not Quite Navy is the base card stock and I have embossed the Very Vanilla layer with the Framed Tulips Folder.

The strip of Calypso Coral has been embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder and layered on a piece of Basic Grey Cardstock where one edge has been punched using the Scallop Trim Border punch.

I embossed a piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock with the Elegant Lines Folder and then cut out the larger butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.  The other layered butterflies are in Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral and have been embossed and punched out using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits folder.

The sentiment is from the retired Inspired by Nature stamp set and has been stamped in Basic Grey.

Mojo Christmas

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge over at Holly Jolly which is to use Christmas Florals.

The challenge is sponsored by Fred She Said Stamp and I have used the Christmas Poinsettia Lantern set.  For my card I have used the coloured images and the script from the set.

The layout for my card is inspired by the sketch at Mojo Monday and boy does this sketch have lots of layers.

I have used Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.  The Modern Label and Scallop Edge Border punches.  As well as the new Window Frames Framelits Die.

After I cut out the image with the Window Frames die I sponged a little Marina Mist on the top part of the image and Soft Suede on the bottom to extend the colours and add some colour to the edges.

Along with lots of layers and heaps of dimensionals,  I have cut out the images a number of times and layered various parts to create some depth.

Of course I have added ‘bling’ as well as some Whisper White ribbon.  I have also used the Vintage Wallpaper and Square Lattice Embossing Folders.

Here is my card:

Colour Ava

Wow can you believe that we are in September and Spring has sprung here in Sydney.  We have a had a lovely day about 22 degrees with some lovely warm sunshine.  A beautiful day.

How has your day and your weekend been going?  Well I hope.

I must share some exciting news with you.  I have been asked and accepted the offer to stay on as a permanent member of the Come and Get It Design Team.

So I will continue to share with you my creations for the challenges and hope to continue to see you visit us there.

The challenge this week that we hope to inspire you with is a colour challenge and the challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

The colours are pink, green and light blue.  I have used Pool Party, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink for my colours choice.  I have also used neutral cardstock Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

The Bugaboo image that I have used is called Ava Mermaid and I have layered parts of the image to give a sort of 3D effect.  This is my first time at doing this and I think it worked out well.

I have coloured Ava in using an Aqua Brush.  Her hair is coloured in using Soft Suede ink, the bubbles Pool Party, the Fish Pretty in Pink.  The top is Certainly Celery and then I coloured her tail in with Certainly Celery but also blended some Pool Party ink on the end.

The first layer was cut out using the new Window Frames Die and I sponged the whole layer lightly with Pool Party ink before I started to layer parts of the image. I have also sponged a little more Pool Party ink to the edges of the frame.

The Crumb Cake cardstock has been stamped with the En Francais background stamp in Crumb Cake ink.  I stamped about 3/4 of the cardstock.

I added some Pretty in Pink satin ribbon (retired) at about half way on the Crumb Cake cardstock and then added some lace at one end.

A border layer was created under the Crumb Cake cardstock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and Pool Party cardstock.

A few embellishments were added including a bow in Pretty in Pink, some Swirls and of course my all time favourite ‘bling’.  If you know me you know most of projects have ‘bling’.  This time I have added a Rhinestone to the flower and two of the swirls end.

Here is my card…
