Red, Ribbon & Roses

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog.

I am so excited today to be sharing my first card as a Design Team Member for ABC Challenges.  I am super excited to part of this wonderful team and share with you the details of our challenge for the next two weeks.

Our letter is “R” so our theme is Red, Ribbon & Roses and is sponsored by Aurora Wings.

Aurora Wings have wonderful images and I have used an image called Dahlia Sprite which has been coloured in with Copic Markers.  The background paper was a recent purchase and the little ribbon roses I found hidden in my embellishment stash.

I have used embossed a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the one of the designs from the retired Delicate Designs Embossing Folders and die cut it using the Large Scallop Die. The satin ribbon is retired Real Red from my ribbon stash.

The image has been die cut using the Ovals Collection and then layered on Real Red cardstock which has been die using a die from the Nestabilities Opulent Ovals die set.  The For You is from a stamp set from Inspired by Stamping, punched out using the Oval Punch and the die a Marianne Die from the Petra Large Oval collection.

The layout for my card was inspired by the sketch at Sketch n Stash.

Our theme this week at Come and Get It is Dies, so as long as you use at least one Die we would love you to share with us!!!

Our challenge is sponsored by Oakpond Creations and I have used their fun little image called Crafty Spider.

I have not really added much colour too him but I have added some Silver Dazzling Diamonds to the web and the background is a retired Spider Web embossing folder by SU, which is just perfect for this image.

The ribbon is retired Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon from my stash and of course I have added some bling.

The dies used were from the Ovals Collection and the Spellbinders Nestabilities Beaded Ovals sets.  The “Hello” is from an Inspired by Stamping set called Cute Circles.
