Hi everyone,

Still no internet or phone cannot believe that I now have to wait until 20 December until another technician is available, hopefully by Christmas everything will be working again.

So back at Mum and Dad's to use their computer and internet and sharing my card made for the new challenge at Crafty Creations.

For the next two weeks our theme is:

Something to Die For

Any dies will do we just want everyone to share with us plus our Sponsor is Robyn's Fetish

I have used a Robyn's Fetish image called Blissful Angel and coloured the image in with Copic Markers.

Super Sweet

Hello!

It is Thursday and only one more day until the end of a very hectic week.  We are bracing ourselves here in Sydney for some very hot weather.  Today it was 38 degrees and tomorrow and the weekend are looking to be the same or even 41 degrees.

I know my daughter loves it as she is in the pool!

I just wanted to share with you a card I made for my Cousin and his Wife who recently had a little baby boy called Sam.  Mum chose the 3D decoupage image and then the layout for my card was inspired by the current sketch at Mojo Monday.

I added some random liquid pearls on the right side of the swirls on the paper, unfortunately they cannot be seen in this picture but they added a little bit more texture to the card.

I just love the stamp from the That’s the Ticket Stampin Up stamp set, it reads 100% Perfect Precious Baby.

Here is my card:

Hi everyone, apologies for this very late post for my card for new challenge at Come and Get It.

This week our challenge is “Things with Wings” and we have two fabulous sponsors – A Day for Daisies and Lacy Sunshine.

I have used a Lacy Sunshine image called Lil Bug – Precious Wings.  This is such a precious image and I have coloured it with soft colours that work well with the paper.

Of course I added a butterfly with some lace and pearls. The sentiment is “Thinking of You” from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

The cardstock is Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Confetti White.  The die cut used is the Deco Labels Diecuts plus the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die and I have embossed one of the layers using a retired bossing folder called Lacey Brocade.

Here is my card:

Reason for the Season

Cindy is hosting this week’s challenge at Holly Jolly.

Our Theme is: Reason for the Season

To me Christmas is a time to celebrate and get in touch with family and friends.  So one way we all get in touch with family and friends is to create our Christmas cards and send a Christmas Wish.

Our challenge is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and I have used an image called Mail Girl.

She is sending all those Christmas cards for us all to celebrate the season.

I have coloured the image in using my Copic Markers and I have used a number of dies including SU Ovals Framelits, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Venetian Motifs, Spellbinders Nestabilities Beaded Ovals and Memory Box Peaceful Snowflake Frame Dies.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Teen Tiny Sentiments stamp set and I have punched it out using the Modern Label Punch.

The papers are from a collection pack by Sullivans and the ribbon is retired Old Olive Satin Ribbon.  From my stash I have used a SU Frosted Finishes embellishment and some lace.

I wanted a sort of vintage look and the papers had a sort of distressed look to them plus I have also added extra ink on the beaded oval shape and the snowflake label using a sponge and Baked Brown Sugar ink and the Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.

The ink and red cardstock is retired Riding Hood Red.  The sparkle in the snow is created using some Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  There is also some bling on the snowflakes around the image.

Here is my card:

P1010904_edited-1

Inkspirational Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,

We have a great new fortnightly Colour challenge at Inkspirational.  So what are the colours:

Purple, Green and White

You can pick two or three of the colours to use but your project should be limited to these colours only.

At first I just couldn’t decide what to do with these colours but I believe with every colour challenge it is about the balance of the colours.

I knew I wanted a simple layout so I went searching for current sketch and found the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts and I have used this sketch for the inspiration of the layout.

I love my butterflies so they have featured too and I wanted to send the card to my sister, so the sentiment of “thinking of you” was a perfect fit.

Here is my card:

P1010843_edited

The colours that I have used are Wild Wasabi, Concord Crush and Whisper White.

The DSP is from my stash and the punches used are the Scallop Trim Border and Modern Label punches. Oh and don’t forget the bling!

Silver and Blue Christmas

This week at Holly Jolly our theme is Silver and Blue.  I just love these colours together for Christmas cards/projects.

Our challenge is sponsored by both Lacy Sunshine & Fred She Said, so there are some great prizes available but you need to be in it to win it :)

I have used a Lacy Sunshine image called Snowflake Quality Control and coloured the image in with my Copic markers. The SU silver glitter paper features a lot on my card and the SU DSP used is called Winter Frost.

The layout for my card has been inspired by the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.

The snowflakes have been created by using the Snow Flurry Die and cut out in both Island Indigo and silver glitter paper.  Of course there is some bling and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamps set and punched out with the Modern Label punch.

The wonderful glitter circle has been created using the Paper Doily Sizzlits Die which I cut out ages ago but kept aside for the right moment, I am sure I am not the only one that does this.

The image has been cut out with the Nestabilities Labels Nine die and I decided to add a little more glitter with some silver glitter ribbon.

Here is my card:

I find it hard to think of a layout or theme for a male card so our new challenger over at Crafty Creations has helped me add a new card to my stash with our “One for the Boys” Challenge.

I have used an image from the retired Seaworthy Stamp set and created a boarder around the image with the Labels Collection Framelits.

Hello Baby

Hi everyone,

Hope your weekend has been great or that it will be great – depending on where you in the world.

The weather here in Sydney has been lovely again today, a little humid but there is a lovely breeze blowing now and you can hear the birds chattering away.

A lovely friend of mine had a little girl about a month ago and I finally caught up with her today and meet little Christina for the first time.

I took over a small gift and I made a card, not in the traditional pinks.  I used some of the colours from the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and the happy little elephant image from the Elebration stamp set.

 IMG_1987_edited-2

I really like how the card looked when finished and the ‘bling’ on the balloon was an added touch.

I will enter this card at the challenges found at :

Moving Along With The Times – Lots of Layers, at least two

The Play Date Cafe – Colour Challenge, Baby Blue, Orange, Basil

Dad’s Birthday

We have had another really hot day 27 degrees plus with lots of humidity. The cool rain is now falling and you can hear the distant thunder.

I am sure there will be another crazy storm tonight – it is almost like we are in the tropics!

Today has been my Dad’s birthday and I made two cards for him.  One from Charlize (my daughter) and I and the other for Mum to give him.

So I thought I would share the cards with you.

I have used the retired Motorcycle stamp as my Dad loves his Motor Bike and when I saw this stamp I immediately thought of him.

The first card is a classic Black and White combination with a touch of Real Red – red makes you go faster, didn’t you know :)

IMG_1960_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Motorcycle, Happiest Birthday Wishes

Card: Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon, Basic Black

Accessories:  1/4” (6.4 mm) Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon,  Basic Rhinestones, SNAIL Adhesive

My second card uses Basic Black and Very Vanilla and I have used the a sample  from the lovely Mocha Morning Speciality Paper.  On this paper the flowers and swirls have black flocking which looks great and feels so soft.

I stamped the ‘just for you’ in Soft Suede and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.

Dad loved both cards and he has had a great day.

He went with Mum and had coffee this morning, spent time with his sisters for lunch and then after dinner we had chocolate cake - because you are never to old for birthday cake and candles!

Take care and have fun creating !

Botanical Challenge

The new Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue is available and it contains some great DSP and new

stamps.

If you haven’t received a copy of the catalogue yet, click here and I will send you one!

You can also see catalogue online and the link is on my blog.

I have created a card using the new DSP Botanical Gazette from the mini catalogue and combined it with sketch from Card Patterns Sketch # 109.

The Botanical Gazette DSP contains some great colours: Early Espresso, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Not Quiet Navy, Marina Mist and Old Olive.

So I have taken my colour inspiration from the paper and used Early Espresso for the base of my card.

I have also used the bird image from the Always stamp set and some of the great ribbons we have available in the main catalogue.

Supplies:

Stamp set: Always, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Always

Card: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler

Accessories:  3/8” (1 cm) Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon, 5/8” (1.6 cm) Very Vanilla Stain Ribbon, Nestabilities, 1” (2.5 cm) Circle Medium Punch, Word Window Large Punch, Botanical Gazette DSP, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

The soft blue of the Marina Mist with the Cherry Cobbler on this paper, looks good.

This was a quick card to make with this sketch and I this new DSP is definitely a winner!

I think I need to get the Nature Walk stamp set that goes with this DSP and see what creations I can come up with!

Thanks for visiting once more, enjoy your weekend and see you again soon…. Meg x
