Recycle/Reuse

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge at Come and Get It which is to recycle or reuse something to create your project.

At first I was going to use some of the ribbon I have kept to use for a later date. You know the ribbons off flowers or presents that you have received and they are just lovely so you keep them aside to use once more!

I know crazy but true.

But then I decided to play with some newspaper, yep ordinary newspaper and see what I could do.

I found an article which was near a picture so I chopped the paper down to the size I wanted, then I added it to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I then daubered some Soft Suede ink to make it look a little older and layered it on some Real Red cardstock.

I added a sentiment, some ribbon and of course a butterfly with ‘bling’ and here is the end result:

Supplies:

Stamp set: Itty Bitty Banners, Everything Elanor

Card: Real Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pacific Point
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pacific Point

Accessories: Beautiful Wings Emboss its, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Scallop Trim Border, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, (retired), Bitty Banners Framelits, Newspaper Article, Daubers, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Different and unusual but I think the more I look at it the more I like it.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles Challenge - #26 Use Die Cut

Stamping with Dragon Challenge – Anything Goes

Totally Paper Crafts Challenge - #157 Punch It

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge - #132 Die for Dies

Sarah Hurley Challenge - #78 Recycle

Go through your stash and see what you can re-use or recycle and share it with us at Come and Get It, we cannot wait.

Have fun….Meg
