Pink CAS

Hi everyone,

Clean and simple (CAS) cards are always a challenge for me as I automatically go for layers.  So I wanted to try the current challenge at Less is More which is to create a one layer card with
3 stamps.

Yes this was definately a challenge for me. I had lots of ideas but nothing was working and I nearly gave up.  In the end I just started to try out different things to see what worked.

In the end I settled on Very Vanilla card stock and a monochromatic look in pink.  I have used Regal Rose, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink for the inks.

I have used two stamp sets Word Play – love all the sentiments in this set and the Vintage Vogue stamp set which I have not used for a while.

I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo in the left hand corner of the card and then created a sort of border with the swirly flowery image from the Vintage Vogue set. This was stamped in Pretty in Pink.

I left a space near the end of the swirly border and stamped the smaller flower image in the space in Regal Rose ink.

Couldn’t resist adding some bling to the flower :)

Here is my card:

Supplies:

Stamp set: Word Play, Vintage Vogue

Card: Very Vanilla
Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo

Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones

Happy that I managed to create something and I used the sentiment I wanted to use – bonus!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More Challenge – # 67 One Layer with 3 stamps

Divas By Design Challenge – # 35 We are Tickled Pink

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - #119 CAS

That Craft Place – Monochromatic

One Stop Craft Challenge - Monochromatic

Thanks you for visiting once more and I hope to see you again soon.  Have a wonderful Friday…… Meg

Cottage Friend

Hi everyone – how are you going for Thursday?  I am well, feeling great and looking forward to the weekend.

We have our fortnightly girly get together this Friday where we probably do more talking then crafting but it is a great way to wind down and catch up.

Also I am going to the movies with Mum this weekend to see ‘Water for Elephants’ – a girly flick  and we will catch up with Dad for dinner after the movies.

So speaking of girly things, I have created a card that fits into three current challenges:

The first is the very Girly Challenge from the Friday Mashup Challenge - Ribbons, Pearls and all things Girls – what a beautiful little girl!

The second challenge is from SUO challenges – Flowers for May.  You can visit this site to see this challenge if you click here.

The last challenge is from Paper Players and is a Sketch Challenge # 48:

I have used a colour combo of Melon Mambo, Basic Grey and Old Olive with Very Vanilla, as well as the lovely Vintage Vogue stamp set.

I cannot believe a few months ago I was struggling to think of ways to use this set!  I have used this lovely set so many times lately.

For that extra touch I used some of the Chantilly 1/2” Crochet Trim.

Supplies:

Stamp set: Vintage Vogue

Card: Melon Mambo, Basic Grey, Very Vanilla
Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Grey, Old Olive

Accessories:  Textured Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders, 1/2” (1.3 cm) Chantilly Crochet Trim, Circle Scissors Plus, Sticky Strip, Rhinestone Brads, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

What do you think ?  Leave me a comment if you get a chance and let me know.

I think the sketch challenge really suited the girly theme.

All the best…. Meg x

Vintage Friends

Hi everyone,  how are things?  I’ve been a little busy the past few days so I have not had a chance to do as much creating as I would like.

But as late as it is I have had a creative moment and created this card below for the following challenges….

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #SSS102 and you can visit their site if you click on the image…

The other challenge is from the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge # 31.  This challenge was to use one ribbon, two pattern papers and three buttons on your creation and you can visit this site if you click here

Unfortunately this challenge had ended before I could add my card but it has still be a good little challenge to keep in mind when I was creating this card.

For the base of my card I have used Concord Crush – I really love this rich purple colour and some two different sheets of DSP from the Lap of Luxury DSP.

Kindness Card

Hi everyone, it’s Thursday which is so much closer to Friday and the weekend!   How is your week going?

Yes another card I have created for a challenge.

This one is based on the sketch from Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge # 166  and the colour combination from ColorLab Color Challenge # 33.

You can visit ColorLab Color Challenge blog if you click here.

ColorChallenge33

And you can visit Mary Jo Price-Williams blog for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge if you click on the image below:

I have used Pear Pizzazz for the base of my card as well as the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I add some ink Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz to the embossing folder before I added the card and placed the folder in the Big Shot.  So there is just a little colour on the embossed image.

You can just see a glimpse of the colour in the picture.  The little word sentiment is from the Vintage Vogue stamp set.

The papers are lovely and the colours go so well together: – Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Basic Grey.

I have used Soft Suede for the base of my card with some stamped images from the Vintage Vogue stamp set.

Below is a copy of the sketch from The Diva Coffee Break Designs Challenge # 219 and you can visit the site if you click on the image.

For my card I have taken the colour inspiration from the Elegant Soiree DSP and I have used Basic Gray as the base card stock.

Vintage Vogue Challenge Card

Hi everyone,

My weekend was great but as always it goes too quick.  Mum and I had sometime together, we went to the movies and had lunch and coffee together.

I also had a chance to look at some new challenges and the first one is from Color Lab and their Color Challenge #30.

ColorChallenge30

I have the Vintage Vogue stamp set for this challenge and I must admit this is one of the stamp sets I struggle to come up with ideas for but as you know it is always good to challenge yourself   :)

I have used Wild Wasabi as the base of the card and stamped the circle image from the  Apple Blossom set on the base card with the Wild Wasabi inkpad.

I stamped the flower image from Vintage Vogue twice, one in Pink Pirouette, the other in Crumb Cake and secured them together with a Rhinestone Brad.

IMG_1451_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Vintage Vogue, Apple Blossoms

Card: Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake

Accessories:  Rhinestone Brad, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Also the Weekly Challenge # 8 from Stampin_Up_In_Oz  is to use Brads, so I am going to add this card to that weekly challenge too.

The lighting is not real good for the photo but this is a simple little card and I have used Vintage Vogue stamp set so I am happy.

Thanks for stopping bye again, leave a comment if you would like.

Until next time….. Meg x
