Because I Care Challenge

Hi everyone,

 

I have created a card using the Because I Care stamp set for the Diva Coffee Break Design Sketch Challenge # 223 & the ColorLab Challenge # 37.

I think the Hydrangea in this stamp set is lovely.

 

I have used Rose Red for base of my card and the base card has also been embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, which is a little hard to see on the photo.

What do you think?  I am happy with the end result and I have only used one stamp set.  Don’t you just love the SU stamp sets!

More challenges…

The card I have created below combines two challenges – the sketch is from Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge # 56 and the colour challenge from Color Lab Color Challenge # 29.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used Old Olive as the base card and the Because I Care stamp set.  I also added some of the wonderful Rich Razzleberry Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz

Accessories:  1  1/4” (3.2 cm) Rich Razzleberry Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, 3/8” (1 cm) Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Texture Impressions Embossing Folder, Top Note Bigz Die, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip

 

 

This is a great quick sketch and I would never have put these colours together but they have worked well.

 

The striped Grosgrain Ribbon just adds that extra touch and I love the fresh, clear image of the hydrangea.

 

Now who shall I give this card too…hmm,  I will have to check out my birthday list.

Because I Care Card

Hi everyone,

 

Hope you weekend is going great.  We have had temperatures of about 38 degrees here today in Sydney, but I believe it is going to be cooler tomorrow – fingers crossed!

 

Last night (Friday) was our fortnightly get together, where about 6 friends get together catch up and try to complete some stamping that is when we are not drinking cups of tea or talking!

 

So I did not have a chance to post the recent card I made using the Because I Care Hostess set. 

 

You may not be able to see it very well from the photo but I have used the Concord Crush cardstock as the base and then for the flower.

 

I have also used the Big Shot Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the some paper piercing.

Quick Cards

Here are some quick cards I have made, the layout was easy and my colour inspiration come from the DSP that was used.

 

The first two used the Apple Blossom Hostess set and the Greenhouse Gala DSP.

 

 

Supplies:

Card: Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight,  Whisper White
Ink: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie

Accessories:  1/2” (1.3 cm) Pear Pizzazz Stitched- Poly Ribbon, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Dimensonals, SNAIL Adhesive

 

The next two cards use the Hello Again stamp set, unfortunately the DSP Haiku is retired but I am still happy with the end results.
