Inspired by A Christmas Carol

If you had to create a Christmas project what Christmas Carol would inspire you?  This is our challenge over at Holly Jolly this week.

I went hunting in my stash for some Christmas Stampers Anonymous Stamps that I had purchased a long time ago but had not inked yet because I knew there was a wonderful reindeer image in the set.  There was and I teamed the image up with some trees from the same set.

I had quickly gone to the shops before I created my card and noticed a Christmas card for sale that was Black, Silver and had a gold glittery reindeer on it.  Very non-traditional but that is what has inspired my colours.

I have used Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White and added a touch of Real Red.  Can you guess why?

Supplies:

Stamp set: Reindeer Flight Stampers Anonymous,
Card: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Grey, Versamark
Accessories:  1-3/8” (3.5 cm) Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Cupcake Builder Punch, Non-SU Silver Embossing Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Real Red Satin Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

 

 

The trees were stamped in Versamark over some already stamped trees in Basic Grey and then embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

I had also added some clear embossing powder over the Basic Grey when I stamped the Reindeer.  I was going to put a bow on the card but I like how the red breaks up the two parts of the card and the sentiment just seemed the last touch.
