Christmas Birds

Hello, I hope you have had a fabulous weekend and that this post finds you well.

Just a quick note to share with you my card for our new challenge at Holly Jolly and our challenge is sponsored by Fred She Said & 2 Cute 2 Ink.

The challenge theme is Winter Birds

I have used a Pre-Coloured Image from Fred She Said called Christmas Cardinal.  This image can be purchased uncoloured but today I wanted to use the coloured image with the blue background.

The layout for my card is inspired by the current sketch at Sunday Sketch and Stamp and I have used some paper and jewels from my stash. Ribbon is retired Real Red Satin Ribbon and the base of the card is Chocolate Chip.

The die is from Nestabilities and is called Captivating Squares – I love it!

Here is my card:

Here is the sketch:

I am really happy with the end result the die just frames the image and I didn’t think anything much more needed to be added.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge - #210 Sketch

Ditzie Digi Design Challenge - #5 Anything Goes

My Perfect Life Challenge – Christmas cards

CCC Digi Creations Challenge - #2 Use a Die Cut

Completely Christmas Challenge - #15 Anything Goes

Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge - #12 Something with Wings

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge - #197 Christmas

Crimbo Crackers Challenge - #66 Anything Goes

Have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting.

Meg

Wonderful, love this bird, and the colors you used. The pattern paper is so awesome, great die you used too. Thanks for playing our Christmas Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Precolored images do come in handy, I'm not always in the mood for coloring or I need to make a card in a hurry, so it's great to have both a colored and uncolored version. You teamed it up with a beautiful DP for a forest feel. It's a lovely traditional Christmas card.

I think the die-cut frame looks great - you've positioned the image perfetly, and Ilove the contrast of the blue and white snow scene with the elegant background paper. Thanks a lot, Meighan, for joining in with my Festive 48, .
