Perfect Words

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a card I recently created with the lovely Paisley Petals DSP.  I really like the bold, bright print on the DSP and there are so many wonderful colours in this DSP.

The colours for my card have been inspired by the colours in the DSP and I have used Not Quite Navy for the base of the card.

A strip of Early Espresso which I have twisted and folded on itself and then I sanded the cardstock to give it a a little bit of a distressed look.

The lovely butterflies have been die cut in River Rock and Bravo Burgundy using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.

Supplies:

Stamp set: Perfect Words

Card: Not  Quite Navy, Early Espresso, River Rock, Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy

Accessories:  Modern Label Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Blossom Party Dies, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Designer Sanding Blocks.

I have also used the Blossom Party Die to create the flower and the sentiment is from the Perfect Words Hostess stamp set.

Of course there is always bling – it has to be my most used embellishment.

It’s Black & White with a Splash of Green

Hi everyone,

How was your weekend?  Hope your week is off to a good start!

I did go to the movies with my Mum and saw “Water for Elephants” – it was a very good movie but I the circus master was a very cruel man!

I know that they say that the book in normally better than the movie but for this movie I do not believe I could read the book.  I must say the elephant in the movie was beautiful – as beautiful an elephant can be !

On to crafty things and I have a card to share with you.

The colours have been inspired by the challenge at The Play Date Cafe – It’s Black and White with a touch of Green.

The sketch layout was from Sketch Frenzy Friday – this sketch has closed but I liked the simplicity of it:

I have used Basic Black for the base of the card and I have embossed the Whisper White in the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines embossing folder.

Hi everyone, it’s Friday night and the weekend is here  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past week has been a little crazy but that’s ok, these little things help keep you focused and grounded.

I have created a card for the Sketch Challenge at Frenzy Friday – the sketch number is SFF030411.  This is the sketch and you can visit Sketch Frenzy Friday’s site if you click here.

I have used the Party This Way stamp set and the co-ordinating DSP Celebrations.

The Celebrations DSP contains the lovely bright colours of Pacific Point, Real Read mixed with some milder tones of Pear Pizzazz and Bashful Blue.

I have create the card as close to the sketch as I can and I think it’s a very happy card to give someone for their birthday.

This sketch challenge was from Sketch Frenzy Friday # SFF022511 and the layout is below or you can click here to visit their site.

I decided to just use the flower image from the Elements of Style stamp set and I stamped the image over the base card which is Crumb Cake cardstock.

I then stamped the flower image on Cajun Craze and for the next two squares I have lined up the flowers from the Cajun Craze image.
