Add a Little Water

 

Hi everyone,

 

Just a quick note to share the new challenge over at Come and Get It this week which is titled “Playing with Water”.

 

The idea of the challenge is to create a project or have your image related to water.  Interesting !

 

Hmm what image could I use ???  Unfortunately I did not really have any appropriate images so I turned to Punch Art.

 

I found this great punch art Frog at Brandy’s Cards. Go and visit Brandy as she has some great punch art ideas if you like punch art.

 

I added my own twist to the card and the Frog but I love my little frog who is out of water but in the reeds.  Of course a butterfly is just flying by!  (If you know my blog, you know I like using butterflies LOL).

Holly Jolly 2 Dies or Punches

Now tell me how are your plans going for your Christmas cards?  I know it’s a long way off but if you are anything like me Christmas and the need for Christmas Cards always sneak up on me!

 

So this week I am hosting the challenge at Holly Jolly and it’s quick easy and fun.

 

We all use punches or dies, sometimes I am surprise how many I use so this week challenge is to use 2 Dies and/or Punches on your Christmas creations.

 

It can be 2 Dies or 2 Punches or maybe a Die and a Punch? Plus our challenge is sponsored so there is goodies too!

With Valentine’s Day on Thursday everyone is into Hearts, Love and telling someone that they are special. 

 

So our new challenge at Come and Get It is Hearts.

 

I have not used Red for my card but Primrose Petal and Whisper White card stock instead.

 

I have embossed some hearts on the Whisper White cardstock using the Hearts Embossing Folder from the Adorning Accents Folder.

 

Added some butterflies and bling with some extra hearts punched out from the Owl Builder Punch.

Stepping into Christmas

Hi everyone,

 

Our new challenge at Holly Jolly this week is to create a Step Card.

 

There are so many tutorials on line for step cards including Splitcoaststampers.  Maybe you are an old hand at Step Cards?  But for me this was a first time.

 

I cannot believe how quick it was create this card, although next time I think I may just add a flap the front of the card to leave my Christmas message but for this creation I will leave the message on the back.

 

I have used some of the retired Snow Festival DSP, my very used and loved stamp set Snow Swirled and the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.

Hope you have had a fabulous weekend! We have had a very wet weekend here in Sydney and a little on the cool side.  Although I much prefer that to the 45 degrees temperature we had a few weeks ago.
