Paper Piecing

Hi everyone,

Over at Come and Get It our new challenge has started and this week we are Paper Piecing.

We would love for you to join us and have some fun with this challenge theme.

I have used a Stamping Boutique image called The Mermaid Dawn and I have paper pieced the tail of the mermaid using some paper from my stash by MME Cut and Paste by Jen Allyson #CP1006.

The rest of the image and surrounds have been coloured in with Copic Markers.

Here is my card:

The reeds in the background have been stamped with Coastal Cabana ink using a retired SU stamp Inspired by Nature.

The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake with X-Press It Blending cardstock.

Here is a close up of the image:

There is some Dazzling Diamonds on the Mermaids tail and randomly around the image to add some sparkle.

I also added some pearls to the side of the image and the Thank You sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set.

The dies used were from SU Circles Collection, Bitty Banners, Window Frames Collection and Spellbinders Nestablities Standard Circles Large.

The copic markers used were:

YG00, 03, 05, 11, 21, 23, 25

Zoo Birthday

Just a quick post to share with you a card I have recently made for friend at work.  She needed a Birthday card for a 2 year old, so I decided to use the Zoo Babies stamp set.

I used some SAB DSP and when you are 2 it is all about fun so the cheeky little monkey just need to jump around a bit.

The sentiment is from the Sketched Birthday Stamp Set and has been die cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits Die.  The heart is from the Owl Builder Punch.

Here is my card:

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, just a quick post to share with you my card for our challenge at Come and Get It.

This week’s theme is Birthdays.

We have two sponsors Eureka and The Stamping Boutique.

I have used an image called Hidden Fairy from the Stamping Boutique and coloured it in with Copic Markers.

I have used Chocolate Chip cardstock and ink for the sentiment which is from the Sketched Birthday set.  The paper and the ribbon are from my retired SU stash.

The dies used are the Bitty Banners and Labels Collection Dies.  Of course there is some bling!

Ribbon & Bows

One of my favourite embellishments is ribbon and then creating bows so I am hosting the new challenge over at Come and Get It for the next week and so I have chosen this as the theme for the challenge:

Ribbon & Bows

So if you we would love to see you there if you get a chance plus you could win a wonderful prize from our sponsor Stamping Boutique.

I have used a Stamping Boutique image called Smoochie and coloured her in with my Copic markers.

The layout for my card has been inspired by the current challenge at Sketch and Stash Challenge and I have used some DSP which retired called More Amore.  I just loved the colours in this paper plus there were some die cut hearts in the pack.  I have used about 4 of these hearts to create the border behind the image.

I have also used some flowers (non-SU) from my stash and the wonderful retired satin ribbon Pretty in Pink for the ribbon and created two bows.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sketched Birthday stamp set and has been die cut using the Bitty Banners die.

I have also used the Scallop Trim Border punch, Large Scallop Edgelits die as well as one of the embossing folders from the Delicate Designs set.

Here is my card:
