Paper Piecing

Hi everyone,

Over at Come and Get It our new challenge has started and this week we are Paper Piecing.

We would love for you to join us and have some fun with this challenge theme.

I have used a Stamping Boutique image called The Mermaid Dawn and I have paper pieced the tail of the mermaid using some paper from my stash by MME Cut and Paste by Jen Allyson #CP1006.

The rest of the image and surrounds have been coloured in with Copic Markers.

Here is my card:

The reeds in the background have been stamped with Coastal Cabana ink using a retired SU stamp Inspired by Nature.

The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake with X-Press It Blending cardstock.

Here is a close up of the image:

There is some Dazzling Diamonds on the Mermaids tail and randomly around the image to add some sparkle.

I also added some pearls to the side of the image and the Thank You sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set.

The dies used were from SU Circles Collection, Bitty Banners, Window Frames Collection and Spellbinders Nestablities Standard Circles Large.

The copic markers used were:

YG00, 03, 05, 11, 21, 23, 25
BG 0000, 01, 10, 11, 13
B0000, 000, 00, 01, 02
E11, 00, 000, 0000, R21

Crafty Creations Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge at Crafty Creations for the next two weeks and it is a colour challenge.

The colours are  Navy and Yellow

I have created a card using Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla and the layout of my card has been inspired by the current sketch challenge at Paper Crafting Challenges but also with Pearls.

I haven’t used butterflies on my cards for a while but I have used them today. They have been die cut using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die and then layered with a pearl.

The sentiment is from the Sketched Birthday stamps set.  The ribbon is from my stash and is retired Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon which I love.

Here is my card:
