Spring Butterflies

Hi everyone, hope that you weekend has been good.  It is always too short :)

Here is the card that I created with the sketch at Stampin Queen Sketches.  When I saw this sketch I immediately wanted to create some butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  And I think my card is creates a Spring feel with its soft flowing colours.

Blushing Bride has been used for the base of the card and I have embossed the very vanilla layer with Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and says :

“Hope your day is as happy as happy gets!”

Butterflies….

It’s been a lovely day and I have been catching up on television shows I have taped so far this week.

I have had a cup of tea and decided to create a card for the current colour challenge at Creative with Connie and Mary – Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip and Lucky Limeade.

I also wanted to use the sketch #178! at clean and simple

The card I had planned out didn’t work so I was giving up for the evening until I was on my second cup of tea and had another thought of what might work.

I am sure that you have had experienced a similar moment where is just doesn’t come together but later it works out – well that seem to work tonight.

I am happy with this quick bright card.

I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set which has been hiding on the shelf with the colour combo and the sketch.

Birthday Wishes For You

Evening everyone – did you have a great weekend!

I did a bit of creating, some gardening, some shopping and had time for a coffee, so I cannot really complain :)

The card I have created below is based on Mojo Monday’s Sketch # 183 and the card also fits into the SU Only Challenge of Birthdays.

A copy of the sketch is here for you to see and you can visit Mojo Monday’s site if you click on the image.

If you have not visited the SU Only site before take a look and click here for the link.

I have taken my colour inspiration from the Celebration DSP.  This paper has some lovely bright colours: Pacific Point, Real Red as well as Bashful Blue and Pear Pizzazz.

I have used Real Red for the base of my card and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.
