Hi everyone, hope your weekend has been good.  It is hard to believe that the first quarter of the year is gone and here we are in April.

Time really does fly…………….

I have participated in the Color Throwdown # 135 Challenge and the colours can be seen below:

and the Flutter by Wednesday Challenge # 148

For the Flutter by Wednesday challenge you have to use buttons, bows and a fluttering butterfly, fairy or angel.

Artistic Etchings Challenge

Hi everyone,

Thank goodness it is Wednesday but how fast did February go!

Before we know it we will be talking about Easter and School Holidays.

For this post I have created a card using the latest sketch challenge from Inkspirations, challenge  # 59.

You can view Inkspirations site by clicking here and a added a copy also to this post.

I have used the Eiffel Tower Image from the Artistic Etchings stamp set as the main image.  Unfortunately I struggle to find inspiration for this set but not this time :)

I have also used the Newsprint DSP and the colour combo is Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Rose Red.

Newsprint DSP with a touch of love…

One of the new Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the new catalogue is the called Newsprint and there are many ways this paper could be used for cards or scrapbooking.

The DSP is printed on a Very Vanilla base with Basic Black print and can be seen on page 127 of the current catalogue.

I created the two cards below and using images from Artistic Etchings, Elements of Style & Occasional Quotes stamp sets.

newsprint double

The first card I created used the new cherry cobbler – isn’t it a wonderful rich colour.  I also used the saying from the Elements of Style stamp set.

The second card used a portion of the Newsprint DSP and had a focus on love.
