Digital Christmas

Wow May already – where is this year going!

Want to get a head start on your Christmas cards then join us this week at Holly Jolly.

We have two sponsors Bugaboo & Stamp and Create.

The theme is really easy to:

Traditional Colours

I have used a Kraftin’ Kimmie image called “Christmas Clara”.

Kraftin’ Kimmie images are sold at Stamp and Create but I think this particular image maybe retired.

But nevertheless I had fun using this image for the first time and have created a fairly clean layout with some snowflakes, ribbon, bling and a sentiment.

I have used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Labels Eight dies, the Martha Stewart Winter Snow punch and the SU Modern Label punch.  The DSP is from by stash.

The cardstock and ribbon are Real Red.

Here is my card:

P1010936_edited-1

A very cute image and I had fun creating this card in traditional colours.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Fairytales Stampers Challenge - #38 At Least 2 Punches

Christmas Bingo

Hi and thanks for visiting!

I just want to share with you my card for the new challenge at Holly Jolly and this week we are playing Bingo!

Our challenge is sponsored by Oak Pond Creations and Lacy Sunshine, so we would love you join us! Maybe in a win a prize but you could tick one or two cards off your Christmas List too!

I have used an image from Lacy Sunshine called Eleanor and Pickles Deck the Halls and I have enjoyed continuing my practice of colouring with my Copic markers.

I was going to use a sketch but in the end I sort of made one up with “more than 3 layers” – one of my choices from the Bingo.

Here is my card:

P1010880_edited-1

and here is the Bingo:

Gems/ Pearls

Snowflakes

Gold

Red

Free

Ribbon

Santa

Blue

More than 3 layers

If you had not already guessed, I have used Gems/Pearls/Free/ More than 3 Layers but I have also just realised the card fits the Red/Free and Ribbon choice too – Bonus!

I have surprised myself by using some Lace, which I recently purchased a bag from a craft show plus I have also used a new die Memory Box Peaceful Snowflake Frame Set.

The sentiment is from the More Merry Messages stamp set and the ribbon is from my stash a retired Old Olive Satin Ribbon.  The snowflakes are have been punched our using the Martha Stewart Winter Snow punch.  I still haven’t perfected the whole punch yet but that will be another task for the weekend maybe.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Summer Reindeer

We have a fabulous Christmas Challenge over at Holly Jolly featuring “Reindeer”, now who doesn’t have an image of a Reindeer!

We would love you to join us and we are lucky to have our challenge sponsored by Meljen, so you could win a prize!

I have used the sponsor’s image called Summer Reindeer and it is the focal point of my card. I have added some retired SU DSP called “International Bazaar” definitely not Christmas DSP but suits the colours of the image.

I added a corner to the card and stamped “Season’s Greeting” from the More Merry Messages stamp set – love this set!  Plus I used some of the new Natural Chevron Ribbon from the Seasonal Catalogue.

Just for a little bit more I punched one side of the Midnight Muse card stock with Eyelet Border Punch.

Here is my card:

Warm Christmas

Our new challenge over at Holly Jolly this week is to create a warm scene like beach theme or use warm colours when creating a Christmas project.

I have decided to choose warm colours for my card and I have masked an area of the card and sponged So Saffron, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Real Red on Whisper White.

I then stamped in Chocolate Chip the snowflakes from the Snow Flurry set and added a Christmas sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

Of course I added bling and a bow.

Here is my card

P1010715_edited-1

At first I was going to stamp the sentiment straight on but then I added it on an angle as I wanted it to almost be drifting with the snowflakes down the card.

This is certainly non-traditional and I had fun creating it!

So get out those 3D projects you have been keeping for closer to Christmas and get ahead start.

I have created a little box for some tags, I created with some retired DSP and the retired Two Tags Die.

Here is a shot of the box which at the moment does not have a handle because I could not decide if I wanted it made out of cardstock or ribbon.

P1010608_edited-1

Something New for Christmas

We all have something new in our stash, I am sure!

Maybe it is the ribbon you have just purchased or the buttons you just had to have that haven’t been opened, I can see you nodding your head.

Something New is the theme of the challenge I have chosen at Holly Jolly for this week, so I have created my card with a new purchase which is some of the new In-Color cardstock Coastal Cabana.

I have taken the inspiration for my layout from the Just Add Ink Sketch and the colours have been inspired by the Dynamic Duos challenge which is Basic Gray and one other colour.
