Fish

Hello from a very wet cool Sydney.

It has been cold here for the past few days and now the rain has been hanging around but the garden is loving it!  I managed to get the roses pruned and some potted colour in the garden in between the down pour, so I am very happy with the rain.

But enough about my gardening, let me share with you my card for the new challenge at Come and Get It.

The theme is Fish/Fishing and our sponsor is Bugaboo.

I have chosen a fun image with a cheeky sentiment for my take on this fish challenge.  The image is called Wiggle the Bait and I have coloured it in with Copic.

The DSP used is a Paper Stack called Moonlight from the new catalogue and the cardstock is Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Express It Blending paper.

Here is my card

Copics used N0, N2, N4, Y0000, Y000, Y21, Y23, Y26, W00, W1, W3, W5, E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21, E40, E42, E43

A fairly CAS creation but I like it.

Guy inspiration

Hi everyone,

I have some very exciting news -  I have been asked to join the Come and Get It Challenge (CAGI)Design Team for the next 4 months beginning May.

So I want to share with you my card I have created for the current challenge at CAGI which is  for the Guys.

Don’t we all get stuck for with those guy cards, so this challenge is helping me build up my stash!

I have used the colours Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pool Party and Whisper White for my colour inspirations.

The stamp set used is the Nature’s Nest and the sentiment is from the Hostess stamp set Perfect Words.

The base of the card is Soft Suede and I cut a piece of Pool Party card stock and stamped the peacock feather from the stamp set on the card stock with Pool Party ink to create a little background.

I embossed a strip of More Mustard cardstock with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder in the Big Shot.  I then punched one side out with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

The turtle has been stamped on the piece of Whisper White cardstock in Soft Suede and I added some More Mustard around the edge of the card with a dauber.

I inked the image again in More Mustard and added some highlights on the image with the Soft Suede marker before I stamped it on Whisper White scrap cardstock.

The second image on scrap was cut out and layered on the Soft Suede image with dimensionals.  I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment.

I linked the layer of the Spice Cake DSP and main image with an antique brad thru the corners. These brads are another of my favourites and I often forget about them, maybe that is because I am running low and I am using them sparingly :)

Here is my card:
